Kristy graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2010 with a Bachelors of Medical Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy) and maintains active licensure with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba. Most recently, Kristy has obtained her Emergency Medical Responder certificate and is also licensed with the College of Paramedics of Manitoba.
Throughout her career, Kristy has worked in various settings, such as long-term rehabilitation, inpatient acute care, outpatients, and private practice. Kristy has also acquired specialty training in acupuncture and pelvic floor physiotherapy. For the past 10+ years, she has found herself in various management roles overseeing allied health professionals as a Therapy Services Manager, Primary Care Facilitator/Manager, and most recently as a Manager – EMS Operations.
Kristy holds certificates related to Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, and CrossFit, as well as personal training and nutrition coaching. She enjoys coaching athletes of all fitness levels in a wide array of strength-focused sports.
Kristy is also a strength athlete herself who enjoys training and competing in Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting and functional fitness in her spare time.
