Alexandra Shemko is the Director of Learning Delivery at BCEHS, with 21 years of experience in paramedicine, a Master’s in Paramedicine (Critical Care), and a Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education. She leads provincial paramedic education delivery across BCEHS and facilitates operational debriefs following mass casualty incidents, including the Lapu Lapu Day and Tumbler Ridge Secondary School incident. Alexandra has co-authored after-action reports and led the development and implementation of education arising from their recommendations. Her work focuses on translating operational learning into practical education that strengthens clinical practice, decision-making, coordination, and communication.
