Rob Evans
Rob has served as a paramedic at BCEHS for nearly 28 years in nearly every operational role available. After joining the service in 1998, he worked in multiple locations across BC as a PCP, ACP and front-line supervisor before moving to critical care operations as a CCP from 2012 to 2022. In 2022 he pursued additional leadership roles within the BCEHS Quality and Safety team and as Director – Strategic Transformation before returning to the operations team in his current role. In addition to his paramedic career, he has served for 14 years as a Canadian Armed Forces reservist, first as a medical technician and currently as a Health Services Management Officer. His CAF career currently finds him involved in combat medic training delivery, health services training delivery and supporting capability development. He completed his undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University, PCP and ACP training at the Justice Institute of BC and is a graduate of the BCEHS Critical Care Flight Paramedic program. In 2013 he graduated from the University of Maryland graduate program in EHS with a specialization in EHS system administration and development coupled with additional focused study in the King County EMS system as well as the Cowley Shock Trauma Centre. He also holds the Certified Health Executive credential from the Canadian College of Health Leaders where he has a special interest in mentoring Canadian paramedic leaders to achieve the CHE designation as part of their leadership development journey.
