Heather Olavsen MBA, GDM, CGM – Director: BCEHS Clinical Hub
Heather began her career in Paramedicine with BCEHS in 2011, initially serving on Vancouver Island. She later moved to British Columbia’s Interior region, where she continued her frontline paramedic work while expanding into education and leadership as a Paramedic Instructor with the Justice Institute of BC, and Clinical Preceptor for BCEHS.
Several years later, Heather returned to her hometown of Vancouver, working at some of the highest call-volume stations in the province. Alongside her operational roles, she pursued further education in business, specifically leadership and organizational development, which led her to further support clinical ground operations as a Manager and then as Director in the Coastal Vancouver area. During this time, Heather continued her academic journey in business, earning a Graduate Certificate and Diploma in Management, and a Master’s in Business Administration.
Heather currently serves as Director of the Clinical Hub, where she brings her extensive operational experience, leadership and strategic business expertise to drive further innovation and center the work around patient and community needs.
